One of the most important features of any CFD code is its scalability. In other words, in modern CFD, it is critical for any CFD code to show a linear speedup with the increasing number of simulation cores.

Recently, we made a detailed study on TCFD® parallel scaling. The detailed study is available for download. The tested case was a Francis hydro turbine. The scaling results are amazing. Here are the key figures.

This study clearly proves that TCFD® has very high parallel scaling efficiency. For this reason, TCFD® users can fully benefit from the fact that TCFD® can be run on an unlimited number of processors (cores). As you know, the TCFD® numerical solver is based on OpenFOAM®. This means that this study also proves that also standard OpenFOAM® has very high parallel scaling efficiency.
